I Heart Us –  Workshop

Close To My Heart truly knocked it out of the park with this season’s paper suites, and the I Heart Us is no exception. With bright colors and cheerful embellishments, your treasured memories will be preserved beautifully for future generations to enjoy. This scrapbook workshop will be offered Friday 3/29/19 and Saturday 3/30/19.

Cost:  $54 **

**Note on Cost:  If you own your own card stock and wish to bring with you then the cost will be $37.

What do I bring to the workshop?

Is this your first time attending a workshop? If you answered YES, then simply bring yourself! Otherwise …

Bring your basic tool kit (click link to view what’s in a basic kit) and a BLACK IN PAD. If you are bringing your own card stock,  please bring (9) White (3) Black (2) Pixie Pink (1) Lagoon (1) Mint (3) Lemon (1) Bluebird

What does I Heart Us layout look like?

During this workshop, we will create 8 stunning pages designed by Jennifer Smith and recreated by yours truly. With titles like “He Said / She Said”, “You Matter Most” and “You Are Loved”, these pages are versatile enough for any theme.  In my scrapbook, my theme was based on a trip to the beach, pool, a day outside, and a random “day in my life”.

The I Heart Us workshop uses pinks, teals, and yellows all grounded with black or white, which really accentuates the colors in your photos. Blow up the pictures of these layouts to get an idea of which of your own stories you want to tell!

When you leave Scrap U with your scrapbook in hand, you’ll be ready to create more layouts on your own. In doing so, you can continue to share your favorite adventures in life with family and fiends.

Picture choices and tips

This layout uses smaller images in several places. As a result, be sure to choose pictures where the focus (subject)  that you want to stand out is in the foreground and not the background.  When using a small image in a layout, the picture may be stunning but the subject can often get lost. When that happens, you can often lose the “story” you are trying to tell. In other words, it’s OK to not always have your entire backyard in every picture, no matter how beautiful it is! 🙂
